Junior Buyer

Purpose and objectives of the roleForm part of a small team, who are responsible for the procurement of electronic /mechanical components in accordance with the manufacturing requirements for a diverse product range including medical and aerospace applications.The primary objective is to ensure that all daily purchasing activities are completed in a timely manner.Main duties and responsibilitiesResponsible for On-Time Delivery of components and other materials to support productionPlacing/expediting orders with suppliers in line with the MRP systemAssisting with RFQs from suppliers.Working closely with suppliers; monitoring and reviewing KPI’sWork with internal stakeholders to meet customer demand, escalating any issues.Review production shortages and overdue purchase orders.Maintain accurate records of the cost, quality and performance of materials purchasedAll employees may be required to carry out other tasks as necessary for the business.
