Approved Electrician Southern Scotland (Site-Based) £28.00/hour(CIS or PAYE only) Van, fuel card, PPE & test equipment provided Full-time37 hours/week Initial 3-month contract, potential extension until Dec 2026 Travel direct to industrial sites from Motherwell baseRole Overview Seeking an experienced Approved Electrician to carry out inspection, testing, and remedial works across a range of industrial environmentsincluding quarries and concrete facilities. The role involves direct site work across Southern Scotland, with minimal office time. Key Duties for Approved Electrician Perform electrical inspection, testing, fault-finding, and repairs Navigate active operational sites and work independently or within small teams Interpret site plans, scopes of work, and ensure certification and compliance Maintain rigorous health 'safety standards Requirements for Approved Electrician NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) 18th Edition (BS7671) AM2 plus full apprenticeship or equivalent field experience Valid ECS card (mandatory) MP Connect card (beneficial) Proven industrial site experience (e.g. quarries, batching plants, etc.) Strong technical knowledge in commercial/industrial environments Flexibility around working hours, with occasional evenings, weekends, or overnight stays (accommodation provided) If you are interested in this vacancy, would like more information, have questions or wish to apply, then please send us a copy of your CV.
