Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our engineering team. This hands-on role is focused on maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems across the site. You'll be responsible for the safe and compliant operation of electrical assets, supporting production uptime, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.If you are considering sending an application, make sure to hit the apply button below after reading through the entire description.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and resolve faults on electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure.Install, test, inspect, and commission new electrical systems and components.Perform instrument calibration (once trained) and maintain calibration records.Address and rectify findings from electrical inspection reports (e.g., EICR) and DSEAR audits.Carry out electrical maintenance in compliance with GMP and site procedures.Complete accurate documentation of maintenance activities.Communicate clearly during handovers and provide feedback on root causes and outstanding issues.Train and mentor apprentices and colleagues as required.Supervise external contractors when needed.Support and contribute to safety, efficiency, and cost-reduction initiatives.Maintain a safe and tidy work environment at all times.System Knowledge & ToolsWORKMATE: Raise and manage job cards, update equipment history.EDMS: Access and revise procedural documents.BEAMEX: Record and track calibrations.Drawing Database: Access and update electrical schematics and layout drawings.MyPiramal: Record personal goals and performance reviews.Microsoft Office: Carry out general administrative tasks.Safety & Compliance ResponsibilitiesFollow safe working practices at all times, including LOTO and voltage checks.Participate in ESH tours and safety initiatives.Contribute to risk assessments and report hazards appropriately.Adhere to site control of change and waste handling procedures.Attend and complete all mandatory safety and compliance training.Key SkillsStrong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.Ability to plan and prioritise work while responding to urgent issues.Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.Effective communicator with a proactive, team-oriented attitude.Qualifications & ExperienceEssential:Time-served apprenticeship in electrical maintenance or equivalent tradeExperience with electrical systems including motors, VSDs, lighting, and PLCsProven track record in a regulated production environment (pharmaceutical, chemical, or similar)Preferred:BS:7671 18th Edition Wiring RegulationsCompEx CertificationHNC or equivalent in Electrical EngineeringBenefitsLife InsuranceSupportive and collaborative team environmentOpportunities for skill development and career progressionApply now to join a high-performing engineering team in a safety-first, technically rewarding environment.
