*Office based role*High Wycombe*Salary: Up to £70,000**Direct management experience is essential*Objectives of this role:· Guarantee that the company is getting the best value for money while procuring goods and services from vendors and distributors· Negotiate contracts and deals with sellers to promote maximum cost-savings in the sourcing and supply chain management system· Devise and execute procurement strategies that benefit the business in the best way· Adhere to applicable legal frameworks and regulations while striking deals with distributors and vendorKey responsibilities:Strategic Sourcing:Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.Develop category management strategies for key spend areas, including cost reduction initiatives.Lead supplier selection process through RFPs, negotiations, and contract management.Analyse spend data to identify opportunities for cost optimization and value improvement.Supplier Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring ongoing performance and alignment with business goals.Collaborate with suppliers on innovation, quality improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and address any issues promptly.Procurement Strategy Development:Define and implement a long-term procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.Develop procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with sourcing and supplier relationships.Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with internal stakeholders across different departments to understand their procurement needs and requirements.Communicate procurement strategy and goals to key decision-makers.Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize inventory management and delivery timelines.Data Analysis and Reporting:Analyse procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.Generate reports on procurement performance, including cost savings achieved and supplier compliance.Utilize data analytics tools to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.Required Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience in directly managing a team, including oversight of at least two direct reportsExcellent negotiation and contract management skillsProven ability to develop and implement procurement strategiesDeep understanding of market dynamics and supplier landscapeStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience with procurement systems and toolsBachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related fieldFor more info, apply below.
