2D Designer - £40-£45k (UK ONLY)ROLE OVERVIEWI'm looking for a 2D creative designer to join our vibrant creative team, producingdesigns which communicate our clients’ brand voice through innovative storytellingand unique concepts. You’ll be eager to contribute to all parts of the design process and will beexperienced in agency life, from brief taking, research, strategy and conceptingthrough to creation. Producing impactful designs within the time budgeted will be a challenge you thriveon, interrogating briefs and having excellent attention to detail. You’ll have greatknowledge of how 2D designs come to life in various formats, whether that be in anonline (digital, mobile, social media etc) or offline application (events, exhibitions,product launches, brand, activations, print, large format etc). As a collaborative role, you’ll be a great communicator, working with Sleek’s creativeand design team and the wider events team to deliver authentic, imaginative designsthat transform spaces and content into impactful brand experiences. You will be akey member of the design team and as such will be comfortable briefing andcollaborating with our extended freelance family. You will also work closely with thecreative director and creative leads, collaborating on art direction.RESPONSIBILITIESBeing an active contributor across the full scope of the event design process:from research to idea concepting, to design development and artworking. Thiscould be for both live events, pitch work and internal Sleek work.Responding to briefs with considered creative concepts which you bring to lifethrough quick mood, AI generated, sketch and art direction.Developing designs that reflect customer and visitor journeys, understandinghierarchy of messaging, wayfinding, and a basic UX understanding.Understanding time, engagement and space as the main drivers forsuccessful experiential design.Ability to use photoshop to enhance and touch up renders or site photos, forexample adding people / graphics and lighting effects.A passion for exploring new materials and techniques to deliver design resultsthrough sustainable goals, especially in offline print processes.Delivering innovative, fun and well-executed design work that pushesboundaries within our clients’ brand guidelines and allows you to flex yourcreative skills.Producing high quality work that not only meets the brief but takes it to newheights where possible.Being proud of your work and representing Sleek by producing first classcontent. Living and breathing the client and internal guidelines ensuring all outputmeets deadlines, budgets and briefs. GENERAL Demonstrating the ability to accurately follow creative processes whilstsuggesting new and innovative ways to enhance them. Showing consistency in delivery, being satisfied with delivering designs you’reproud of. Ensuring all project documentation is up to date and used effectively and fileversions are filed efficiently.Day to day management of workload across a broad range of projects anddeadlines, able to work on numerous projects simultaneously, ensuringstandards are maintained at all times and helping to make timescales clear.Building strong relationships within the wider team through regular and clearcommunication and a collaborative approach to work, being able to explaindesign concepts to non-designers.Other duties/tasks within your skill set as and when required.RequirementsPrior experience working in an agency environment Confident using the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite with digital and AI generativedesign knowledgeAn advantage to have a working knowledge of After Effects and similarprograms for simple concept animationsAn advantage, but not essential, to have a basic understanding of SketchUpto create basic massing models to test out environmental branding.Ability or experience of designing concepts for a variety of applications(digital, print, physical venue branding including large-scale etc)Enthusiasm with an eagerness and willingness to learnDetail-oriented, with good commercial awareness and understandingSelf-motivated and organised, helping to frame timelines, respect deadlines,pre-empt issues, able to brief and direct freelance designers and know whento ask for adviceSkilled at working both independently and as a team player, bringing apositive can-do attitude to all aspects of the roleAn ability to confidently sell your designs, whether to internal team or clientFlexible and willing to react quickly to changing demands of the businessBe highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks cross-functionallyStrive for continuous improvement, being receptive to feedback andimplementing this into your work.
