Job Description Technical Coordinator / Senior Technical Coordinator - Site Based (Milton Keynes)An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Coordinator or Senior Technical Coordinator to join a residential project in Milton Keynes.The role will be site based in Milton Keynes whilst preconstruction work will be done in their Head Office in London. The project has already progressed through a two-stage tender and is now moving into the next delivery phase, offering stability and genuine involvement from early stages through to completion.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the design development process, ensuring buildability, value engineering and risk mitigation are considered at all stagesCoordinate the delivery of high-quality technical and drawn information in line with programme and budget requirementsManage and maintain design programmes to ensure timely approvals and information flowAppoint, brief and manage external design consultants using clear and project-specific scopes of servicesEnsure compliance with statutory approvals, including planning conditions, Building Regulations and sectional agreementsLead tender and design coordination meetings as required, supporting the development of robust contractor proposalsLiaise closely with estimators, site teams and consultants to resolve design queries efficientlyObtain and manage technical approvals from local authorities, utility providers and statutory bodiesSupport the production of as-built information and handover documentation at project completionBuild strong working relationships internally and externally, with regular site presenceAbout YouProven experience working in a Design & Technical Coordinator or Senior Technical Coordinator role with a main contractor or developerStrong understanding of residential construction and the pre-construction to delivery processCommercial awareness with the ability to manage risk and valueConfident communicator, comfortable working with multiple stakeholdersHighly organised and able to work to tight deadlinesAble to work effectively as part of a wider project team and under pressure when requiredThis is a strong opportunity to join a project at a key stage and play a pivotal role in driving technical delivery on a high-profile residential scheme.If you would like to discuss this role further or explore whether it could be a good fit, feel free to get in touch with VekshanaAldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
