Job DescriptionnJob Title: Commissioning Project Leader PTS ElectricalnLocation: Barrow-In-Furness We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular rolenSalary: 47,271+ Depending on experiencenWhat youll be doing:nnResponsible for leading a team of Electrical Engineers in the Propulsion Test SectionnReview and plan training and development of electrical engineers within the sectionnDeputise for the Propulsion manager in their absence and act as temporary lead, covering all Propulsion section meetingnResponsible for planning and supervising commissioning activitiesnBe a signing member of the Propulsion test groupnLiaise with other test departments to ensure safe control of worknResponsible for overseeing Electrical Rip outs for the Propulsion sectionnReviewing and authoring test documentation in relation to the Propulsion test sectionnnYour skills and experiences:nEssential:nnDegree/HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experiencenKnowledge of either Propulsion or Power Distribution systems from either commissioning or maintenance experiencenExperience of SAPnUnderstanding and experience of Safe Systems of WorknnDesirable:nnPrevious Team leader / Supervisory experiencenIdeally have a min of HNC in an Electrical Engineering subjectnReview and approval of electrical isolations (Rip-Out/Tag-outs)nExperience of reviewing electrical and technical documentation and drawingsnnBenefitsnAs well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.nThe Commissioning Project Lead TeamnAs a Commissioning Project Leader PTS Electrical, you will be responsible for managing commissioning activities of all propulsion electrical systems on Astute class submarines. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work across multiple platforms giving you exposure to different systems and technologies. You will be given lots of training to develop further within your career.
