Quality Engineer – Plastic Fabrication ManufacturerLocation: MiddlesbroughSalary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)Holidays: 23 days annual leave + 8 bank holidaysKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirementsConduct inspections and testing of plastic fabricated products to ensure they meet specificationsLead root cause analysis and drive corrective/preventive action initiativesSupport continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality and reduce wasteManage documentation related to quality standards, audits, and certificationsLiaise with production, engineering, and customer service teams to resolve quality issuesAssist in preparing for and conducting internal and external auditsRequirementsProven experience in a Quality Engineer role, ideally within plastic fabrication, manufacturing, or a related industryStrong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, lean manufacturing principles)Excellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departmentsAttention to detail and a proactive approach to quality managementBenefitsCompetitive salary (£35,000 – £40,000 DOE)40-hour working week (Monday to Friday)23 days annual leave + 8 bank holidaysOpportunity to join a stable and growing business with a positive working culture
