I am currently working with an impressive family-run business located between Harrogate and York, making it easily commutable from York, Boroughbridge, Harrogate, Knaresborough and surrounding areas.Scroll down to find an indepth overview of this job, and what is expected of candidates Make an application by clicking on the Apply button.They are looking to recruit a practical, hands-on Agricultural Mechanic / Tractor Technician to join their team, responsible for servicing and maintaining their fleet of agricultural machinery.Formal qualifications are not essential, the most important thing is solid, demonstrable experience with tractor servicing and repairs. Applications are welcomed from all levels of experience.The RoleBased primarily at the on-site workshopOccasional travel to one of five nearby sites to attend breakdowns and carry out repairsWorking as part of a small, supportive teamFollowing service sheets and planned maintenance schedulesCarrying out routine servicing, diagnostics and repairsCommunicating with managers regarding maintenance needs and repair workExperience & SkillsStrong working knowledge of agricultural machinery, particularly tractorsExperience working with older Massey Ferguson tractors would be an advantageFamiliarity xjdpvnf with JCB Loadall telehandlers would be beneficialMIG welding experience desirable but not essentialBasic computer skills helpful (training can be provided)An agricultural background would be advantageousThis is a great opportunity for a reliable and capable mechanic who enjoys a varied, hands-on role within a supportive and well-established family business.
