Job Title:Multi-Skilled EngineerLocation:York - West CottingwithSalary:40,000 - 45,000 (DOE)Industry:FMCG Food ManufacturingJob Type:Permanent, Full TimeShift:Monday Friday: Rotating two-shift pattern (early/late) & Seasonal shift change during busy periodHours:40 Hours Per WeekBenefits:Competitive salary (dependent on experience)Structured shift pattern with clear rotationPermanent role within a stable FMCG manufacturing businessOngoing training and development opportunitiesExposure to modern production machinery and continuous improvement projectsSupportive team environment with long-term career progressionAll potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.Key Multi-Skilled Engineer Requirements Responsibilities:Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedulesRespond quickly to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and carry out effective repairsPerform both mechanical and electrical maintenance across production equipmentConduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actionsSupport production teams to ensure minimal downtime and disruptionEnsure compliance with health & safety and environmental standardsMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentationAssist with installation and commissioning of new machineryWork collaboratively with internal teams and external contractorsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costsMulti-Skilled Engineer Requirements:Essential:Level 3 (or above) qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled EngineeringStrong multi-skilled engineering capability (mechanical & electrical) xjdpvnf Experience within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment (FMCG/food is ideal but not strictly required)Proven experience with fault finding and root cause analysisExperience carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenanceUnderstanding of maintenance systems and engineering documentationDesirable:Experience working with automated machinery, conveyors, or packaging equipmentBasic knowledge of PLC systems and fault findingAdditional engineering or equipment-specific certifications
