Accountant (Rent and Service Charges)Make sure to read the full description below, and please apply immediately if you are confident you meet all the requirements.Salary: Up to 51,000 PALocation: Remote with occasional travel to communitiesFull Timecan offer some flexibility9 month FTCClosing Date: 13th OctoberThe Trust is currently undertaking a root and branch review of rent and service charges and this role is pivotal in supporting the development of a revised rent and service charge model for the Charity and providing expertise in this area of our activities.Youll be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records related to rental income and service charge accounts. This includes budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with tenancy agreements and relevant legislation as well as working with the service delivery and compliance teams to ensure all recoverable services are included in charges.To ensure delivery of a proactive and professional customer focused service, you'll ensure finance deadlines, and legislative and statutory requirements are met. Youll work closely with the wider organization, building strong internal relationships to ensure the effective management of financial resources.What youll bring to the role:Professional Accounting qualification ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or Part Qualified (Final year) OR qualified by experience with a minimum 3 years in a similar senior finance role within the Charity / Housing sectorIdeally relevant experience being responsible for Housing Rent and Service Charges within a similar organisationAdvanced User of different accounting packagesConfident User of MS Office 365 Excel. Word, Outlook, PowerPointExperience implementing & internal controls & accounting processesLocation & Travel - Remote basedThis is a home-based role, however you will be expected to travel to the Trusts communities and other relevant locations on occasion.Excited?
