PLEASE NOTE. TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE: YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE ALREADY WORKED ON SITE AT HPC, THEREFORE A SECURITY CLEARANCE (BPSS) IS ESSENTIAL. Job Title: Plater Location: Hinkley Point C (HPC), Somerset Job Purpose: To carry out plating and fabrication activities safely and to the required quality standards in support of construction works at Hinkley Point C. Key Responsibilities: Mark out, cut, shape, and assemble plate and structural steel components. Interpret and work from engineering drawings and templates. Carry out fitting, aligning, and tacking of components prior to welding. Use hand tools and fabrication equipment safely and effectively. Ensure all work meets required quality and safety standards. Carry out basic checks on tools and equipment before use. Maintain a clean and safe working area. Work as part of a team to meet project deadlines. Requirements: Relevant plating or fabrication experience/qualifications. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Previous site or construction experience preferred. Good understanding of health & safety on site. Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines. Desirable: Experience on large infrastructure or industrial projects.
