Laboratory Manager

Job Description CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Manager to join a busy analytical laboratory at their site in Middlesbrough. This is a permanent role working Monday - Friday.The role:-The overall responsibility of ensuring optimum achievement of operational targets, in the most cost effective manner, consistent with safe operating practices.- To lead the teams, set expectations with team members, create an effective and safe environment.-Consider improvements and efficiencies to processes and procedures- To coordinate the daily workload and to ensure the laboratory equipment and test methods are operational.- To coordinate the Laboratory Work System to ensure adequate staffing levels on the shift pattern and weekend working requirements.- Provide support to the Day Supervisor and Laboratory Shift Supervisors to ensure relevantdocumentation and staff training has been completed to meet the daily requirements.Your background:-Degree/Higher National Certificate in related subject.- Excellent leadership & communication skills- Experience of leading large, high performing teams in similar environments.-Detailed Knowledge of relevant laboratory operations/standards and properties of relevant chemical products-Detailed Knowledge of relevant Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards
