Role OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and passionate Caf & Bistro Cook to join our kitchen team within a refined caf and evening bistro environment. The role is focused on delivering beautifully executed dishes from an elevated daytime caf menu and a carefully curated evening bistro offering. This includes occasional themed dining events that showcase quality ingredients, thoughtful presentation, and culinary creativity.The successful candidate will also take responsibility for food ordering and stock management, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and exceptional standards at all times. Key ResponsibilitiesCulinary Excellence Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard, with strong attention to flavour, presentation, and detailExecute an elevated caf menu during daytime serviceDeliver a refined, limited bistro menu during evening serviceContribute to themed dining nights such as Spanish tapas, Mexican cuisine, and seafood-led menusMaintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations Stock Management & Ordering Take ownership of food ordering in line with menu requirements and forecasted demandMonitor stock levels, rotation, and storage to minimise waste and maintain qualityCarry out regular stock checks and support effective cost control Kitchen Standards & Operations Maintain an immaculately clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environmentComplete all preparation and mise en place to support smooth, high-quality serviceEnsure equipment is used and maintained correctlySupport menu development, specials, and seasonal offerings where appropriate Team Collaboration Work seamlessly with front-of-house colleagues to deliver a polished guest experienceCommunicate clearly regarding menu availability, allergens, and service flowRemain calm, professional, and composed during busy service periods Skills & ExperienceEssential Proven experience in a caf, bistro, or quality-led food environmentStrong cooking skills with a refined approach to presentationSound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen managementExperience with food ordering and stock controlAbility to work autonomously while maintaining exceptional standards Desirable Experience with small-plate or bistro-style menusInterest in international and themed cuisine conceptsLevel 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain) Personal Qualities A genuine passion for high-quality food and thoughtful presentationOrganised, dependable, and detail-focusedProfessional, calm, and adaptable under pressureCreative mindset with pride in craftsmanship Our clients and their customers come from diverse backgrounds and so do we.
