Job Description Five Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Melksham that is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their SEND resource base. This specialist provision supports pupils with complex needs in small, supportive classes, allowing staff to provide personalised learning and care.This role would suit someone who is proactive, patient, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs. Previous SEND experience is highly desirable, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.The RoleSupporting pupils with complex learning and communication needsWorking within small class groups in the school's resource baseAssisting the teacher with adapted lessons and learning activitiesSupporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needsHelping to create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environmentThe Ideal CandidateExperience working with children with SEND (in schools or similar settings)A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learningA team player who works well with teachers and other support staffPatient, resilient, and committed to helping pupils thrivePassion for making a real difference to children with additional needs If you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of 62.70.
