This is a great opportunity for someone with steel or metal sales experience who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and working in a fast-moving environment.As a Steel Sales Representative, youll play a key role in developing new business while managing and growing existing customer relationships. Youll be selling a wide range of mild steel products to customers across construction, fabrication, engineering, and manufacturing sectors. This role would suit someone commercially minded, proactive, and confident, working both independently and as part of a wider team.Whats On OfferCompany phone and laptopSupportive sales and operations teamIndustry training and developmentPrivate health scheme (non-contributory)Private pension contribution33 days holiday per year (including bank holidays)Responsibilities of a Sales Representative:Building and developing relationships with new and existing customersPromoting and selling mild steel products, including sheets, plates, beams, angles, channels, hollow sections, and tubesIdentifying new opportunities across construction, engineering, fabrication, and manufacturing sectorsPreparing quotations, negotiating prices, and closing dealsProviding product advice and guidance where requiredWorking towards monthly and annual sales targetsCoordinating with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth order deliveryKeeping up to date with market trends and competitor activityMaintaining accurate sales records and updating CRM systemsAttending customer meetings, site visits, and industry events when neededRequirements of a Sales Representative:Previous experience in steel or metal sales preferredGood knowledge of mild steel products and gradesStrong communication and negotiation skillsAbility to build lasting customer relationshipsCommercial awareness and understanding of the marketSelf-motivated and comfortable working independentlyStrong organisation and time management skills
