Private Client ParalegalLocation: Marlborough, Wiltshire (flexible working)Salary: £30–50K plus excellent benefits packageKey RequirementsWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Private Client Paralegal to join our highly regarded practice. You will play an integral role in supporting solicitors across a wide variety of matters, ensuring our clients receive an exceptional, professional service.Essential skills and experience:Previous paralegal experience in Private Client law (minimum 12 months preferred)Strong understanding of key areas including wills, probate, trusts, and lasting powers of attorneyConfident in drafting standard legal documents with accuracy and attention to detailExperience liaising with clients, courts, and third parties in a professional and empathetic mannerExcellent administrative and organisational skills, including file management and deadlinesProficiency with case management systems and Microsoft OfficeDesirable skills:Experience working with farming, rural, or high-net-worth clientsKnowledge of estate and tax planningProgression toward professional qualifications such as CILEX or STEPKey CompetenciesClient-focused with excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectivelyA collaborative team player with a proactive and professional approachStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh levels of discretion and integrity when handling sensitive client mattersRole & ResponsibilitiesAs a Private Client Paralegal, you will provide essential support to our solicitors and partners, ensuring smooth running of client files and excellent client care.Your responsibilities will include:Assisting with the drafting of wills, trusts, and lasting powers of attorneyPreparing probate applications and assisting with estate administrationConducting legal research and preparing supporting documentationLiaising with clients, beneficiaries, HMRC, and the Probate RegistryMaintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentationManaging your own caseload of straightforward matters under supervisionSupporting solicitors with more complex cases and attending client meetings where requiredEnsuring compliance with all regulatory and professional obligationsWhat We OfferCompetitive salary depending on experience (£30–50K)26 days’ annual leave plus bank holidaysPension schemeA supportive, collegiate culture within a specialist private client practiceExposure to high-quality and complex cases across the regionClear opportunities for career development and progression, with support for professional study (CILEX, STEP, or equivalent)Flexible working arrangements where appropriate, supporting work-life balanceEqual OpportunitiesWe are committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workplace.
