As we continue to scale, we are looking for a dynamic and driven General Manager to play a pivotal role in our journey.Job DescriptionAs General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business across multiple depots, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be a key member of the executive team, contributing to strategic decisions and supporting the business in its ambitious growth plans including identifying and launching new branches.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strong, proactive leadership across all operational teams to ensure effective, safe, and efficient business operations.Take ownership of Health & Safety compliance and culture across all sites, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met or exceeded.Work closely with the Managing Director on strategic planning and execution.Assist in identifying, assessing, and establishing new branch locations, including resourcing, logistics, and operational set-up.Ensure consistent operational performance, continuous improvement, and implementation of best practices.Oversee and support department managers, promoting a culture of accountability and high performance.Collaborate with other executive leaders on cross-functional initiatives (HR, Finance, Commercial & Events) to ensure alignment and success.Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, reporting regularly to the Managing Director.Represent the company professionally with stakeholders, clients, and suppliers.Key Skills & RequirementsMinimum of 5 years experience in a senior management role, ideally in a construction, manufacturing, or industrial multi-site environment.Proven leadership capability with the ability to inspire and drive high performance.Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and a passion for promoting a safety-first culture.Excellent operational and organisational skills, with a focus on results and efficiency.Experience in business development or site expansion is highly desirable.Commercially aware, with the ability to contribute to strategic planning and execution.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Willingness to travel across multiple sites as needed.What we offerCompetitive salary in the region of 75,000 pa depending on experienceKPI linked bonusCompany car or car allowance 23 days holiday per year plus statutory bank holidaysCompany pensionA key leadership role in a growing and ambitious businessOpportunity to shape the future of the company and contribute to its strategic successSupportive and driven executive team environmentMedicash sole, Level 1
