Job Description SEMH Teaching Assistant Ely, Cambridgeshire Employer: Simply EducationFull-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:30am-4.00pmAbout the RoleSimply Education is seeking an experienced and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to support an independent SEMH school based in Ely, Cambridgeshire.This role is ideal for individuals with experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, who are passionate about making a positive difference in pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide targeted support for children with SEMH and ASD needs, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groupsAssist in the development and delivery of personalised learning plansSupport pupils' emotional wellbeing and social developmentWork collaboratively with teaching staff to implement strategies that promote engagement and positive behaviourMonitor pupil progress and contribute to assessment and reportingSupport classroom management to ensure a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environmentContribute to the wider pastoral and academic goals of the schoolQualifications & ExperienceExperience working with children with SEMH and/or ASD needsPrevious experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a school settingUnderstanding of strategies to support social, emotional, and behavioural developmentStrong communication skills, patience, and effective classroom managementAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamFlexible, proactive, and professional approachSafeguarding & ComplianceEnhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)Right to work in the UKCompliance with safeguarding standardsWhy Work with Simply Education?Dedicated education consultant supportOpportunities across multiple local schoolsFlexible working optionsOngoing professional developmentHow to ApplyIf you are an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with SEMH and ASD needs in Cambridgeshire, apply today and make a real difference in pupils' lives.JBRP1_UKTJ
