Job Description Supply Chain ManagerNottinghamshire / Derbyshire area55,000 k + Bonus Site-based, 5 days per weekThe BusinessWere partnering with a fast-growing food manufacturing business that has recently invested heavily in its own production facility as part of a major growth phase.Following several years of strong brand momentum and investment, the company has now reached an exciting stage where operational capability is being scaled to support continued growth across retail, e-commerce and B2B channels.With demand continuing to accelerate, the business is now looking to appoint a Supply Chain Manager to take ownership of end-to-end planning and supply chain operations across the site. This role will play a key part in building the structure, processes and rigour needed to support the next phase of growth.The RoleThe Supply Chain Manager will take responsibility for planning, coordination and optimisation of the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring the factory and commercial teams are supported with the right materials, stock levels and production plans.This is a hands-on role within a fast-moving SME environment, where the successful individual will work closely with operations, finance and commercial teams to ensure the business can scale effectively.The position will oversee procurement, production planning, inventory management and warehouse operations, while also identifying opportunities to improve processes and supply chain efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain & ProcurementManage suppliers for raw materials, packaging and consumables, ensuring strong performance, cost control and continuity of supplyLead supplier negotiations and procurement initiatives to improve cost efficiency and reliabilityProduction PlanningConvert sales forecasts into effective production plans that balance service levels, stock availability and factory efficiencyAdjust plans in response to changing demand, operational challenges or capacity constraintsInventory & Stock ControlMaintain accurate stock levels across raw materials and finished goodsManage stock control procedures, conduct stock counts and address discrepanciesMonitor slow-moving or excess stock and take action to mitigate riskWarehouse & LogisticsOversee goods-in and goods-out operations and ensure smooth material flow through the siteCoordinate with logistics partners to maintain reliable inbound and outbound supplySystems & Continuous ImprovementUse ERP/MRP systems to manage planning, reporting and supply chain dataSupport finance with stock valuation and reporting processesIdentify and implement improvements across supply chain processes and operationsWhat Were Looking ForExperience within food manufacturing supply chain or operationsStrong understanding of procurement, production planning, inventory management and logisticsExperience working within a manufacturing or factory environmentConfident using ERP/MRP systems and ExcelHighly organised with strong attention to detailComfortable operating in a fast-growing SME environmentA proactive, hands-on individual who enjoys solving operational challengesWhats On Offer50,000 - 55,000k + Bonus Opportunity to join a high-growth food manufacturing businessKey role in shaping the operational structure of the supply chainExposure to senior leadership and strategic growth plansDiscretionary annual bonus (up to 15%)28 days holiday plus bank holidayPension schemeLife assurance and optional private healthcareIf youre looking to take ownership of a growing supply chain operation within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, Id love to hear from you.
