This is a growth role.You will join at a pivotal stage in the firms expansion, taking ownership of a high-quality SME and mid-market portfolio while playing a central part in strengthening the firms London presence and broader strategic ambitions.For the right individual, this role offers genuine progression with the opportunity to further elevate your position as the audit practice grows.The OpportunityAs Audit Director and Responsible Individual, you will operate as a senior leader within the firm balancing technical excellence with strong commercial judgement.Youll work closely with Partners and the Senior Leadership Team to:Shape audit strategy and growth plansDrive revenue and portfolio expansionStrengthen market positioning, particularly in LondonMaintain exceptional audit quality standardsDevelop the next generation of audit leadersThis role would suit an ambitious Audit Director (or experienced Senior Manager ready to step up) who wants to combine client leadership, business development, and strategic influence.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as Responsible Individual on a portfolio of statutory audits, including group engagementsLead and grow a portfolio of SME and mid-market clientsDrive audit quality, ensuring compliance with UK ISAs, ethical standards, and regulatory requirementsPlay a visible role in business development, proposals, tenders, and networkingContribute to pricing strategy and commercial decision-makingIdentify new sector opportunities and service line expansionLead FRC / RSB inspections and internal quality reviewsProvide technical leadership across UK GAAP (primarily FRS 102) and IFRSMentor and develop Audit Managers, strengthening the leadership pipelineAct as a senior ambassador for the firm in both the Midlands and London marketsWhat Were Looking ForACA / ACCA qualified with Responsible Individual (RI) statusSignificant xjdpvnf UK audit experience within an SME or mid-market environmentStrong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRSA commercially minded leader who understands profitability, pricing, and growthA relationship builder who can win and retain clientsComfortable operating at senior leadership levelEntrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to help build and shape a growing audit practiceWillingness to work hybrid and travel regularly to LondonWhy This Role Stands OutGenuine strategic influence within a growing firmVisible impact on London market expansionClear career progression as the audit practice scalesA platform to combine technical excellence with commercial leadershipThe opportunity to help shape the next phase of growth
