The Physical Security Operations Specialist is considered a crucial and specialist role in the front line defense of in protection of their people, customers, partners and assets. The Global Corporate Security team falls within the wider Group Security, Safety and Resilience team: a dynamic, lean team requiring hands-on support in day to day safety and security operations. You will be a part of the team responsible for our enterprise security, focused on operational and procedural security and safety measures. Without these measures, our technical systems are worthless in keeping all employees safe and secure. You have a passion for developing solutions, rolling these out and reporting on success.The Group Physical Security Operations Specialist will:Promote the use of security & safety response procedures and engage with different tracks to improve reporting skills and quality.Engage and support local teams, including security guarding and emergency response teams in creating physically safe workplaces, and enhance readiness for life safety, physical and environment incidents at the workplace.Review, investigate and evaluate security & safety incidents to give recommendations to improve our security and safety systems and operations.Provide reporting to the Compliance Team in case of significant incidents.Position Corporate Security as a business enabler and a trusted partner for all departments within .Transform our office security approach from the legacy methods has used for the past 25 years to a modern, forward-looking model.Coordinate and support the implementation of security operations in other offices in close collaboration with Group Security and Regional Security Managers.Deliver event security operations in collaboration with the Group Security team.Work with internal and external stakeholders such as Real Estate and Workplace Services and their safety vendors such as real estate agencies, external project managers and safety suppliers.Add to and roll out global policies.Respond to security incidents if the support of Global Corporate Security is needed when employees or our assets are threatened.Support other security functions in times of high workload such as facilitate set up of security operations day to day activity in new officesWork as the bridge between Group Corporate Security, the wider Resilience team and the wider security department.ResponsibilityPolicy, Standards and GovernanceEnsure ’s Security Policy, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Standards are effectively communicated, implemented, and continuously improved across all domains. Communicate all security-related policies and standards to relevant stakeholders, defining clear implementation actions, assigning ownership, and ensuring accountability through structured follow-up and reporting.Monitor and evaluate the adoption of security practices, providing guidance and support where necessary.Monitoring, Reporting, and MetricsMaintain visibility into the effectiveness of security programs through consistent monitoring, performance tracking, and data-driven reporting.Collect, analyze, and interpret key performance metrics from the case management system to assess trends and inform decision-making. Deliver comprehensive quarterly Security Reports to the Leadership Team (LT), summarizing key developments, emerging risks, and progress on mitigation measures. Report relevant intelligence promptly through established internal channels, ensuring leadership remains well-informed on security matters.Collaboration and Stakeholder ManagementFoster strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a unified and holistic approach to managing security risks. Engage regularly with Group Corporate Security, the Compliance Team, and the Real Estate & Workplace Services (REWS) team on shared initiatives and policy alignment. Maintain active relationships with UK law enforcement and intelligence partners to facilitate timely information sharing and joint action. Collaborate with the Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) to exchange insights, collect intelligence, and ensure consistent reporting. Build and sustain a professional network of external security contacts to enhance intelligence gathering and operational resilience.Operational OversightOversee daily security operations, ensuring effective coordination between security staff, systems, and procedures. Manage day-to-day activities with contracted guards and verify that security systems and technologies function optimally. Collaborate with building management to regularly review the facility’s security posture, evaluate identified risks, and ensure mitigation measures are properly implemented. Support event planning in partnership with the REWS team by assessing proposed security measures, verifying that adequate controls are in place, and confirming that security requests are processed in a timely and compliant manner.Incident Management and InvestigationsLead and coordinate the response to all safety and security incidents, ensuring thorough investigation, accurate documentation, root cause analysis and effective follow-up. Respond promptly to incident notifications from the Safety & Security Response Team by interviewing involved parties, reviewing access control and CCTV logs, and creating detailed incident timelines. Develop and recommend improvement or mitigation measures to prevent recurrence, and share findings with relevant domains, including the Compliance Team, to ensure continuous improvement of security processes.Training and PreparednessCollaborate with the Safety & Security Response Team to design, deliver, and maintain training programs on emergency response, incident reporting, and SOP compliance. Conduct periodic drills and exercises to validate procedures and identify areas for improvement. Promote a culture of proactive security awareness by engaging teams across all levels of the organization, reinforcing best practices, and encouraging responsibility for workplace safety and security.Leadership and Professional ConductLead by example, fostering enthusiasm and ownership of safety and security initiatives across teams. Exhibit sound judgment, clear communication, and strong decision-making in all security-related matters.Other Group Corporate Security ProgramsSupport or assume ownership of projects and workloads from other security roles as needed, including but not limited to:Security Operations Support for offices beyond Manchester, as requiredSecurity Awareness CampaignsEvent Security Planning and CoordinationPhysical Security Risk AssessmentsTravel Security and Safety ManagementIn-site Assessments of offices and facilitiesQuality Control of Guarding ProgramsBrief the Group Manager Corporate Security on opportunities to create synergies across all Global Corporate Security programs, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and operational objectives.B. SkilledMinimum of 3 to 5 years of experience with strong understanding of corporate security / environmental and physical health & safety operations.Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (I.E. Security, Resilience).
