We bring quality, safety, and efficiency to public sector construction projects. This role is an opportunity to work on a major upgrade project for one of the UKs leading hospitals. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join our team, ideally from an architecture or engineering background. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience and will play a key role in ensuring compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 , the Building Safety Act 2022 , and Higher-Risk Building (HRB) Regulations . This as site based role at Manchester Royal Infirmary. Key Requirements: Minimum 5 years professional experience in a relevant design or construction discipline Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and Building Safety Act 2022 (including HRB Regulations) NEBOSH Health and safety management for construction Proven experience acting as Principal Designer on complex construction or refurbishment projects Certified Member of the Association for Project Safety (CMaPS) or MCABE (Chartered Member of CABE) Previous experience working within a hospital or healthcare environment is essential Strong communication, coordination, and regulatory compliance skills Ability to lead design risk management and safety planning during the pre-construction and construction phases Desirable: Degree in Architecture , Building Services Engineering , or Facilities Management Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and coordinating across design and construction stakeholders Proficiency in digital collaboration tools (e.g. CDEs, BIM platforms).
