Senior Platform Engineer Manchester (Hybrid) Up to 72,000 Bonus Permanent Play your part in one of the UKs most important national security programmes right here in Manchester. Our Platform Engineering team is expanding, and were looking for experienced engineers who want to apply their consulting and technical expertise to projects that protect the country and make a tangible impact. Youll be based in our growing Manchester hub, working in agile, multidisciplinary teams that blend technical delivery with consulting know-how. Expect variety, challenge, and the chance to work on systems at scale while helping shape the North Wests national security technology footprint. What youll be doing Designing, building, and delivering secure and scalable platforms for high-impact projects Working with agile teams to solve client challenges with creativity and engineering best practice Embedding automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and code analysis into delivery Balancing hands-on technical work with consulting-style problem solving Getting involved in community outreach and skills initiatives across the Manchester tech scene Experience required Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, JavaScript, .Net, Python) Strong background with version control (Git, Mercurial, etc.) and CI/CD (Jenkins, Bamboo, Bitbucket, TeamCity) Experience delivering in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) Understanding of software design patterns and engineering practices Current SC clearance is a bonus eligibility is essential Nice to have (or well support you to get there): Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) Database systems (SQL, NoSQL, Graph) Deployment tools (Ansible) Exposure to ML technologies (TensorFlow, AWS/Azure ML) The Package Up to 72,000 base salary Bonus scheme Hybrid working from Manchester hub Private healthcare & pension Consulting-style career progression Opportunities to help shape the North Wests cyber and tech community Interested?
