Job Description HGV Technician / HGV MechanicAstley M2917.00 20.00 per hour (depending on experience)Full-Time | 48 Hours per Week | Monday to Friday (Weekend Work Required)An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivatedHGV Technicianto join our busy workshop team in Astley.We are looking for a qualified HGV Mechanic to work on our own fleet of vehicles and trailers. A Class 1 (C+E) licence would be ideal, but this is not essential for the right candidate.Key Responsibilities:Repair company vehicles and trailers safely and efficiently in line with current regulationsCarry out mandatory VOSA inspections and MOT preparationFault diagnosis and repairStrip, fit, and replace components as requiredComplete all paperwork accurately and ensure deadlines are metMaintain high housekeeping standards in line with Health & Safety requirementsUse appropriate PPE at all timesCommunicate effectively with the Transport ManagerBe flexible with shift patterns where requiredSkills & Experience:Minimum 2 years experience as an HGV Technician (preferred)C+E entitlement (Class 1) preferred but not essentialExperience with Scania and Volvo vehicles preferredStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsGood communication and interpersonal skillsBasic numeracy and literacy skills to complete documentationSelf-motivated with the ability to use initiativeFull driving licence preferredWhat We Offer:Competitive hourly rate (1720 per hour, negotiable depending on experience)Full-time, permanent positionOn-site parkingProductive, well-run workshop environmentOpportunity to work on a maintained fleetIf youre a reliable and experienced HGV Technician looking to join a growing company with a supportive team, wed love to hear from you.JBRP1_UKTJ
