Job Description nn n n Job Introductionn Turning Point is a leading social enterprise committed to making a difference in peoples lives.We are looking for an experienced Deputy Payroll Manager to join our HR Operations team and ensure the accurate and timely payment of salaries during this maternity cover period.nThis is a fixed-term maternity cover contract for 12 months.nThis is a hybrid role with one day a week in our Manchester office and the rest working from home.nAbout the RolenAs Deputy Payroll Manager, you will lead and coach the Payroll and Pension Officers to deliver an outstanding service to colleagues across Turning Point.Youll assist the Payroll Manager in managing end-to-end payroll processes and act as the senior escalation point for complex queries.This role is key to maintaining compliance, improving processes, and driving a culture of continuous improvement and excellent customer service.nKey ResponsibilitiesnnManage and coach the payroll team to deliver accurate and timely payroll servicesnSupport the Payroll Manager and process end-to-end payroll in their absencenAct as senior escalation point for payroll queries, ensuring swift resolution and minimal impact on colleaguesnOversee pension processing, including NHS and LGPS schemesnDevelop and monitor SLAs for payroll, reporting monthly and driving improvementsnMaintain and improve payroll processes and systems, ensuring compliance with statutory requirementsnBuild strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service deliverynLead process improvement initiatives and train colleagues on new processesnnAbout YounnProven leadership experience within a payroll environmentnStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trendsnKnowledge of payroll regulations and statutory requirementsnProficient in Office 365 and comfortable with process improvement initiativesnLevel 5 CIPP qualification or equivalent experience (advantageous)nEnthusiastic, solution-oriented, and committed to delivering outstanding customer servicennWhy Join Us?nAt Turning Point, we value innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement.Youll have the opportunity to lead a dedicated team, enhance processes, and make a real impact on the colleague experience.nAbout usnAs a leading health and social care provider with more than 300 locations across England, we take real pride in the services we offer.nOur people bring our vision to life.So, if you are enthusiastic, motivated and committed to support others to fulfilling their potential, here at Turning Point, we don't just offer you a job we offer you a career.nWhat Benefits Will I Receive?nWe know reward looks different to each person and so whether its ways to make your money go further, a culture supporting recognition and celebration, or opportunities to boost your career we want to support you in every way we can with our total reward package.nYou will get 33 days paid holiday a year, increasing with each year of service up to 35 days.
