Here at Metroline we are 6,000 colleagues strong across the UK and help carry over one million of our customers every day, whilst Comfort Del Gro operates in 12 countries with a global fleet of over 40,000 vehicles and more than 22,000 colleagues.Job SummaryAs a Shunter/ Fueller you will be responsible for fuelling, parking and cleaning up our new fleet of state of the art buses. This is a great opportunity for someone to join a great working environment as part of the Engineering dream team and partnering with the wider team in the Wythenshawe depot.Main ResponsibilitiesResponsible for ensuring all vehicles are fuelled and that engine oil levels are checked each eveningKeep records of the amounts of fuel and oil issued to each busResponsible for keeping the relevant work area clean and tidy and to clean up spillages in accordance with Metrolines Health and Safety policy and procedureResponsible for washing exterior of all buses by use of automatic bus wash and to wash wheels and skirt panels by handResponsible for shunting buses around in the garage and parking vehicles according to garage planSweeping and cleaning the interior of the busesMaintaining records and documents as required by Metroline ManchesterTo undertake daily checks on the condition of the mechanical equipment usedResponsible for maintaining the cleanliness of company vehicles to a high standard using mechanical, electrical and manual cleaning equipment.
