As part of the Advanced Facilities team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects nationwide, growing your career alongside our diverse team of industry professionals.Role SummaryThe Superintendent 2 will help plan, manage, and execute all aspects of assigned projects with some complexity. This role is responsible for managing materials and equipment, assisting with people management, ensuring documentation is complete, and meeting project goals for timely and profitable completion, all in support of JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values. Key Role Responsibilities - CoreLead safety culture, demonstrate commitment to an injury-free environment, investigate incidents, and retrain staff as needed. Manage subcontractors and organize overall job workflow. Oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs like Safety, Quality, and EEO for small or large project segments. Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work. Coordinate project site care, custody, and control. Lead meetings including daily standups and weekly trade meetings. Participate in project meetings and manage project schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager. Monitor project budget and costs using management systems. Communicate key project information to all stakeholders. Maintain project documentation and logs. Approve and record unit costs, complete daily and tracking reports. Evaluate progress and adjust plans as needed. Manage material and equipment needs. Support procurement and approval processes. Assist in selecting formwork, tools, and equipment for self-perform operations. Manage timecard approval for accurate reporting. Ensure quality compliance and support project closeouts. Participate in project pursuit, planning, and change negotiations. Lead, support, and promote diversity and inclusion policies. Additional ResponsibilitiesManage fairly complex standalone projects from start to finish. Handle management, scheduling, safety, and quality for assigned projects. Identify and manage project risks. Use experience to identify problems and suggest solutions. Participate in project pursuits and negotiations. Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesPerform work accurately and timely. Effective communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office, project management, scheduling, and construction technology software. Knowledge of construction management fundamentals, trades, scopes, and self-perform labor. Ability to build relationships, manage budgets, and maximize profitability. Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 5 years construction experience, 3+ years in field supervision. Experience with Lean principles and industrial projects preferred. Working EnvironmentValid driver’s license required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Travel and/or relocation may be required.
