Cloud Operations Engineer

Cloud Operations Engineer Manchester, Hybrid Our client is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to support and evolve mission-critical hybrid cloud platforms operating in high-availability, compliance-led environments. This is a hands-on role with real ownership. Youll act as a Level 2/3 escalation point , keep always-on systems running smoothly, and drive improvements across automation, resilience and cloud infrastructure. What youll be doing Operating hybrid cloud platforms across AWS, Azure and on-prem Handling complex infrastructure and platform incidents Improving reliability through monitoring, automation and IaC Working across networking, security, Windows and Linux Supporting DR, patching and platform modernisation What our client is looking for 5+ years experience in cloud or hybrid infrastructure roles Strong AWS skills, with working knowledge of Azure Solid Windows Server experience and Linux familiarity Terraform (or similar) and PowerShell experience Strong networking fundamentals (DNS, VPNs, firewalls, routing) Comfortable working in high-availability, SLA-driven environments Nice to have Docker / Kubernetes CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus or Grafana Why this role?
