Duties and Responsibilities include- Managing your own case load of Housing Disrepair claims form inception to settlement.- Assessment of Housing Disrepair cases, reviewing quantum and expert reports.- Drafting the necessary documents to issue court proceedings, following court directions, drafting statements and preparing the file for a final court hearing- Conducting legal research, preparation of legal documents and attend Court Hearings- Liaising with clients, other parties, surveyors and the court.-Completing all necessary investigations into the circumstances of the incident and the value of the client''s claim, carrying out legal research as required-Collating and reviewing the evidence to assess prospects of the claim succeeding its merits- Meeting targets and KPI''s, which are set to ensure all clients receive the best and most efficient service. Ideal Candidate - A minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role either in-house or within private practice- Have an excellent grasp of the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Conditions Claims- Fully conversant in relevant legislation with particular emphasis on Section 9A 9B,10 & 11 of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1985 updated 2020 incorporating the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018.- Take a pragmatic commercial approach to settlements and advising clients as to litigation/cost risk - Excellent client care skills- Be able and competent to issue proceedings in housing disrepair matters.- Excellent communication and negotiation skills- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills- Experience in Proclaim Case management would be an advantageJob Type: Full-timeBenefitsCompetitive salary and excellent bonus schemeSchedule: Flexitime Monday to FridayWork Location: In personJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits: Company eventsWork Location: In person
