Workforce Development Consultant - Construction & Green Tech Permanent Location: Home / Manchester (2 days in the office) Salary: 40,000 - 42,000 (+ benefits) Are you passionate about driving workforce transformation in the construction and green technology sectors? We're looking for an experienced Workforce Development Consultant to play a pivotal role in supporting organisations to grow, develop their people, and build sustainable workforces for the future. In this role, you'll work closely with business owners and senior leaders across the region, providing expert guidance on skills development, organisational planning, and inclusive employment practices. You'll use your deep knowledge of the construction and green tech landscape to help businesses address workforce challenges, build strategic partnerships, and access the right training and development support. Key Responsibilities: Engage directly with businesses to understand their workforce development needs and opportunities. Deliver expert advice and coaching on people strategy, talent development, and skills planning. Lead on sector-focused initiatives across construction and green technology, including supporting housing targets and low-carbon growth. Collaborate with training providers, education partners, and local stakeholders to broker solutions and promote inclusive employment. Support the design and delivery of tailored workforce development plans, helping organisations to recruit, retain and develop local talent. About You: Strong understanding of workforce development, organisational change, and inclusive employment practices. Experience working in or with the construction and/or green economy sectors. Able to conduct training needs analysis and advise on people-focused business improvement. Confident communicator and relationship-builder, able to influence senior stakeholders and build trust with a diverse range of partners. Organised and proactive, with excellent planning and project delivery skills. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Desirable Qualifications/Experience: Degree-level or professional qualification (e.g., CIPD) in HR, Business, Organisational Development, or related field. Knowledge of training provision, funding, and employment initiatives within the Greater Manchester area. TPBN1_UKTJ
