Legal Billings Clerk/ Billing and Invoicing/ Professional Services / Hybrid Working (Up to 3 Days WFH/ Enhanced Benefits Package Forge Talent are working with a leading Law Firm as they look to grow their Manchester Finance Team to meet business demands. This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially driven and passionate candidate with previous billings and/ or invoicing experience to join a fast paced and high performing team. In addition to their experience , the successful applicant will be a confident communicator who has the ability to build strong and trusting relationships with clients, partners and fee earners. Benefits Available; 25 Days Holiday + Birthday + 3 Additional Special Occasion Days Flexible and Hybrid Working (Up to 3 Days WFH) Enhanced Maternity/ Paternity/ Adoption Leave Enhanced Pension Contribution Free Gym Membership Key Legal Billings Clerk Duties: Drafting a high volume of sales ledger invoices, ensuring compliance with set practices and SRA regulations. Management and resolution of any draft bill queries from solicitors. Responding to any sales ledger queries, working to reach a prompt resolution Proactively working to ensure that all KPIs are met and that emails and queries are responded to within agreed time frames. Working with Fee Earners and Partners to Provide guidance on billing processes and procedures. Preparation of reconciliations, reports, and financial information as required. Support with cash allocation as required. Liaising with Solicitors and Fee Earners to ensure that all billable services have been accurately invoiced. Legal Billings Clerk Required Experience: Previous experience in a sales ledger or billings capacity Legal billings experience or experience gained within the legal sector is highly advantageous. Confident and articulate written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders. Problem solving abilities with a right first time approach. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. A customer focussed approach, providing an excellent service level to partners and clients. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet set deadlines and effectively prioritise duties in line with business demands. A positive, motivated and professional approach to all tasks and duties with the ability to contribute to a friendly team dynamic. Knowledge of international VAT is highly advantageous as this role will be responsible for a global ledger. Strong computerised systems (3E highly advantageous) and Excel skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced professional services environment.
