With a diverse project portfolio and a strong focus on design quality and sustainability, youll be joining a team that values both creativity and technical excellence.Based in Manchester, youll be part of a friendly and forward-thinking studio, working on a range of projects with real scope for progression.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop project briefs into considered design solutions aligned with the RIBA Plan of Work, working with a high degree of autonomyContribute to the coordination and delivery of pre-construction information across project stagesProduce efficient, sustainable and buildable design solutionsEnsure designs comply with UK regulations, British Standards and relevant Codes of PracticeAdvise on material selection, considering performance, cost, and environmental impactPrepare detailed technical specifications using NBS, supported by up-to-date manufacturer informationSupport design development in line with project budgets, including value engineering where requiredParticipate in project reviews, coordination meetings and workshopsAssist in preparing and submitting planning, building regulations and building safety documentationLiaise with statutory authorities and contribute to reports and submissionsCollaborate with clients, consultants, contractors and specialist teamsSupport the management of design risks and maintain accurate project documentationAssist during construction stages, including troubleshooting design-related issuesSkills & ExperienceQualified Architect (RIBA Part III) with ARB registrationMinimum 3+ years post-qualification experience within a UK architectural practiceStrong technical knowledge, including construction detailing and UK regulatory requirementsExperience in the education sector (desirable, not essential)Commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery within a consultancy environmentProficiency in design and visualisation tools such as SketchUp and Adobe Creative SuiteWorking knowledge of Autodesk Revit (BIM experience preferred)BenefitsHybrid working arrangement25 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing with service)Paid professional membershipsPrivate healthcare cash planLife assurance and critical illness coverDiscretionary bonus schemeCycle to work scheme
