Additionally,an understanding ofBiodiversity Net Gain (BNG), environmental markets, habitat banking, or related legislation would be a distinct advantage.You will be the engine behind our commercial workflow: ensuring enquiries are managed professionally, clients arewell supported andguided through our processes, sales data and forecasts are robust, relationships are nurtured, and the business has the intelligence it needs to make strong strategic decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesSales Operations & Process ManagementManage the full sales process frominitialenquiry through tocompletionMaintain and refine internal sales processes and reporting mechanismsEnsure all customer interactions and pipelines are accurately documentedProvide pipeline forecasting, sales insights, and commercial reporting to leadershipWork closely with project delivery,ecologyand finance teams to ensure seamless client experience.Client & Account ManagementBuild andmaintaintrusted relationships with housing developers, local authorities, planners, infrastructureclientsand large contractorsTake ownership ofsome of GEDGsaccounts, ensuringhigh levelsof satisfaction,retentionand growthSupport clients in understanding our environmental products and services, including habitat banks, BNG units, land restorationschemesand nature recovery projectsAct as a consistent point of contact, ensuring queries are handled promptly and professionallyPeople Management & Team DevelopmentLinemanagejunior sales staff as the team grows, settingobjectives,prioritiesand performance expectationsCoach direct reports to build commercial capability and sector knowledgeSupport recruitment and onboarding of new junior hires and internsAllocate workload across the team to balance enquiries,accountsand reportingSupportinterns with structured exposure to ecology,deliveryand finance teams where relevantAbout YouEssentialHighly organised with strong process disciplineExperience inSales Operations/Account Management / Client Success Managementin a complex B2B orpublicsectorfacingenvironmentFamiliarity with CRM systems, ideally HubSpot, and sales operations toolingStrong commercial acumen:able to understand commercial drivers, structuredealsand supportdecisionmakingAble to report on sales performance and clearly present to the senior leadership team.Proven ability to build and managelongtermclient relationshipsTeam focussedwith excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging withjunior andsenior stakeholdersalike.Able to manage multiple workflows whilemaintainingattention to detailComfortable working in afastgrowingSME with evolving processesDesirableUnderstanding ofBiodiversity Net Gain (BNG)and its role within the planning and development systemKnowledge of environmental policy, land use regulation, ornaturebasedmarketsExperience working with:Housing developersLocal councils and planning authoritiesPublicly listed national infrastructure organisationsLarge residential or commercial construction firmsWhat We OfferOpportunity togrow professionally and helpshape the commercial function of a rapidly growing,purposedrivenenvironmental organisationWork with some of the UKs most significant developers, infrastructureprovidersand local authority partnersCollaborative,missionfocusedculture with strong valuesCompetitive salary and benefits packageProfessional development and exposure tocuttingedgenature recovery and environmental innovation initiatives
