Job Description Conveyancing Assistant Manchester Full-Time | Office-BasedSalary - Competitive DOEThe OpportunityAn established and growing law firm based in Manchester is looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant to join its busy residential property team. The firm has a strong pipeline of work and a solid reputation for client service, offering a supportive environment where individuals can develop and progress their careers.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior conveyancing experience who is looking to build on their technical knowledge and gain greater exposure to the full transaction lifecycle.The RoleYou will work closely with experienced fee earners, providing hands-on support across a wide range of residential conveyancing matters. The role offers exposure from initial instruction through to post-completion, making it ideal for someone looking to take the next step towards a fee-earning position.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in managing a caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchasesSupport files from instruction through to exchange and completionDraft and prepare contracts, transfer deeds, completion statements, and client correspondenceCarry out searches, Land Registry applications, and SDLT submissionsHandle post-completion processes, ensuring all registrations and formalities are completed accuratelyLiaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, brokers, and third-party solicitors to ensure smooth transaction progressionProvide regular updates to clients, maintaining a high level of service and communicationMaintain accurate and compliant file management in line with regulatory requirementsAssist fee earners with enquiries, title checks, and general transaction supportAbout YouPrevious experience as a Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Assistant, or Paralegal within residential propertyGood working knowledge of the conveyancing process, including pre- and post-completion stagesStrong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasksConfident communicator with strong client care skillsProactive, organised, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environmentKeen to progress within conveyancing and develop into a fee-earning roleSalary & BenefitsCompetitive salary (DOE)Opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full conveyancing processSupportive team with ongoing training and developmentClear progression opportunities within the firmWorking ArrangementsFull-time, office-based role in ManchesterStable, long-term opportunity within a busy and growing teamThis is an ideal role for a conveyancing assistant looking to join a firm where they can develop their skills, gain responsibility, and progress their career in residential property.
