Quantity Surveyor - Lenham Kent350pd plus company car allowanceWe have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our high-performing commercial team working on our South East Water Engineering projects in Kent.The Role:Youll gain invaluable experience and exposure to Capital & Operation Expenditure budgets and the balance between the two, understanding Total Expenditure and the ever-increasing role it plays in the utilities environmentYour role is critical to ensuring our commercial success, allowing us to invest in new technologies, aiming for infrastructure that is sustainable, carbon positive and built/maintained in a way that supports our planet for future generations of all our families.Key Responsibilities:Generating weekly revenue and cost reportsControlling submissions of daily completed jobsProducing Schedule of RatesReconciling Subcontractor costs and preparing payment certificatesLiaising with Operations and Planning to monitor job progress and scope changesReviewing scheme works to ensure targets are on track to be achievedPricing completed jobs for high volume worksDeveloping relationships with clients to 'Work In Progress' daysAnalysing weekly and monthly cost and revenue dataWe would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate...About You:You are an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in utilities, civil, or mechanical engineeringideally within the water industry. You should have experience managing high-volume, low-value works, as well as knowledge of NEC contract schemes and subcontractor management.Youll need to be enthusiastic, proactive, and a great problem solver, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Strong Microsoft Excel expertise is essential, including proficiency in formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs, along with a keen eye for data integrity and financial analysis.A degree in Quantity Surveying or an HNC/HND in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with commercial management experience would be highly desirable.Must have a full visa, the client does not sponsor.This role is available immediately.
