Multilingual Freight Operations Supervisor

We are looking to hire a Freight Operations Supervisor on behalf of one of our clients in the freight forwarding industry.This is a remote role with a salary of £60,000-£65,000 depending on experience. The company is expanding its European Operations so any European language skills would be beneficial. The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of five as well as handling the shipment processes for the company's clients. Candidates must be confident leading a team remotely as well as resolving any issues which have been escalated to them from more junior staff. During the interview process candidates will also be required to demonstrate examples of excellent organisation, communication and managerial skills.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a team of five, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.Oversee daily operations for the transportation of shipments, ensuring compliance with European import/export regulations.Monitor workload distribution and support the team in resolving complex shipment, documentation, and client service issues.Liaise closely with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to resolve escalations and maintain strong relationships.Track and report key operational metrics to senior management, identifying areas for process improvement.Essential Requirements5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding or Logistics2 years of experience in a managerial/supervisory role.Clear understanding of European import and export regulations.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.European language skills in addition to English.If this sounds like you then apply now!
