This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step up or transition into a surveying-focused position, especially if you have strong experience managing low-value maintenance projects or cyclical building condition surveys.The University offers a clear and supportive career development pathway, making this an ideal role for Graduate Surveyors, Junior Surveyors, Maintenance Surveyors, Stock Condition Surveyors, or Building Maintenance Managers looking to progress or diversify.Key ResponsibilitiesCondition & MaintenanceTake full ownership of building condition surveys across the estate.Maintain and update all associated records, including cost data.Provide professional building fabric project services to internal stakeholders.Carry out emergency surveys and manage long-term defects relating to building fabric and roof structures.Compliance & SafetyAct as a technical expert for building fabric compliance and maintenance.Support lifecycle replacement, refurbishment, and adaptation projects.Review, audit, and maintain the University's Fire Management Safety arrangements, including:Fire precaution remedial worksBuilding Fire ManualsActions arising from Fire Risk AssessmentsUndertake regular access audits to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.Regulatory SupportEnsure building assets comply with statutory, regulatory, and internal requirements.Assist in mitigating legal, financial, and health 'safety risks related to building management.About YouEssential ExperienceExperience managing maintenance projects, condition surveys, or building fabric assessments.Strong understanding of building fabric, compliance, and asset management.Desirable ExperienceExperience within estates, education, housing, or public sector property management.Background in maintenance surveying, stock condition surveying, or building maintenance management.QualificationsSurveying-related education or qualifications are highly desirable. xjdpvnf ARICS or working towards APC is advantageous but not essential.BenefitsUp to 45,000 salary30 days annual leave + 4 additional days over ChristmasExcellent pension schemePrivate healthcareHybrid workingClear pathways for career growth and professional development
