Job Description Account Manager | Food Manufacturing | Customer Focused RoleLocation: Maidstone, KentSalary: 40,000 - 50,000Hours: Monday to FridayAre you customer driven, highly organised and confident managing relationships in a fast-paced commercial environment?A growing food manufacturing business is looking for a proactive and people focused Account Manager to join their Commercial team. This role plays a key part in building strong, long term customer relationships, ensuring excellent service levels and supporting revenue growth across the business.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being customer facing, thrives on collaboration and wants to develop their commercial skill set within a supportive and ambitious business.What Youll Be DoingAct as the main point of contact for customer queries, issues and order updatesBuild and maintain strong relationships through regular customer meetings and clear communicationManage customer expectations by providing accurate updates on orders, timelines and business activityResolve customer issues and complaints, escalating internally where required to ensure timely resolutionWork cross functionally with Production, NPD, Logistics, Procurement and Sales to ensure orders are delivered on time and in fullSupport production planning by relaying customer forecasts, requests and scheduling informationWork closely with Sales and Account Owners to provide consistent communication across all aspects of the accountDevelop a strong understanding of customer needs to identify opportunities for growth within existing accountsSupport quotation activity, NPD reformulations and pricing where requiredProcess sales orders and develop strong working knowledge of internal systemsTrack KPIs, customer satisfaction and account performance to drive continuous improvementWhats In It for YouOpportunity to work in a highly collaborative commercial teamExposure to customers, NPD and cross functional projectsA fast-paced environment with real opportunity to develop commerciallySupportive culture focused on continuous improvement and right first time deliveryYour BackgroundExperience in a similar account management, customer service or commercial roleStrong people skills with the ability to build relationships at all levelsHigh attention to detail with excellent organisational skillsComfortable working cross functionally and managing multiple prioritiesConfident using Excel and business systemsAnalytical mindset with the ability to manage reporting, pricing and cost considerationsA proactive, solutions focused attitude with strong communication skillsAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentJoin a Business That Invests in YouYou will be joining a growing food manufacturing business that values collaboration, ownership and customer excellence.
