Job Description Location: covering Kent, London & SussexSalary: 45,000 55,000 + Car Allowance + BenefitsTHE ROLEThis is a role for a Quantity Surveyor who can walk in and take control from day one.Youll be responsible for managing the commercial performance of external planned works programmes, with a strong focus on painting and cyclical decking across social housing portfolios.These are live contracts covering balconies, walkways, external decorations and associated refurbishment works where your ability to control cost, recover value and protect margin will directly impact profitability.WHAT YOULL BE DOINGFull commercial ownership of external works packages (painting and cyclical decking)Manage contracts end-to-end: pricing, CVR, valuations, variations, final accounts and cash collectionWork within SOR and BOQ frameworksDrive performance across painting, decking and external refurbishment programmesIdentify and recover variationsManage subcontractors and paymentsControl cost, margin and cash flowWork closely with site teamsIdentify and manage commercial riskWHAT WERE LOOKING FORExperience as a QS in external planned works or social housingStrong knowledge of SOR and BOQ contractsExperience with painting and cyclical decking or similar external worksAble to hit the ground runningStrong commercial awarenessComfortable in a site-led environmentStrong Excel skillsFull UK driving licenceWHY THIS ROLEThis is a hands-on QS role on live external works programmes where commercial control is critical.
