Finishing Foreman

Our client are an award winning Social Housing Contractor who work across the North West, within planned works and retrofit. They are seeking a Finishing Foreman to join them on a permanent basis, working on a contract in Macclesfield which consists of roofing and windows and door replacements. ou will be responsible for overseeing the final stages of a construction and planned installation projects,e nsuring high-quality finishes, and ensuring that all works are completed to specification, within budget, and on schedule. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage subcontractors and tradespeople effectively. Key Responsibilities: Site Supervision & Quality Control Oversee and coordinate all finishing trades, including plastering, painting, tiling, flooring, joinery, and snagging works. Ensure high-quality finishes and adherence to project specifications, drawings, and building regulations. Carry out regular site inspections to identify defects and ensure timely rectifications. Monitor and manage snagging lists, ensuring all issues are resolved before handover. Health & Safety Compliance Enforce and promote a strong health and safety culture on-site. Ensure all works comply with UK building regulations and health & safety legislation. Conduct risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for finishing works. Ensure PPE and safety protocols are followed by all workers. Team & Subcontractor Management Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring their work meets the required standards. Communicate effectively with contract managers, site managers, and other trades. Motivate and guide finishing trades to maintain productivity and quality. Ensure workers adhere to schedules and deadlines. Progress Monitoring & Reporting Track progress of finishing works and report any delays or issues to the site/project manager. Attend site meetings and provide updates on project status. Work closely with other departments, such as buyers, to ensure materials are available on time. Handover & Client Liaison Assist in final inspections and handover processes. Work with clients and other stakeholders to ensure satisfaction with finishes. Address any last-minute snagging or modifications as requested. Requirements: Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman. Knowledge of Plastering Strong knowledge of construction finishing trades and techniques. Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work to deadlines. Good understanding of health and safety regulations. Qualifications: CSCS card (Supervisor level preferred). SMSTS or SSSTS certification. First Aid at Work certification (desirable). NVQ Level 3 or higher in a relevant trade (preferred).
