Staff tend to stay here for many years, which speaks high volumes about the organisation.PersonalityYou will be responsible for purchasing and scheduling the raw materials and packaging needed for the efficient functioning of the production site, as well as purchasing/scheduling product for external warehouses in Europe and Toller Manufacturers. If you have a keen eye for detail and a strong capability in strategic planning, this could be the role for you!Reward8am to 4pm or 8.30am to 4.30pm (40hrs per week)Holiday accruedFree parkingJob Role:Creating purchase orders for Raw Materials, Packaging and Bought-In products, for the production site and external warehousesEnsuring that all materials arrive on schedule and meet the requirementsFor direct and indirect spend, where not under the control of the central team, select appropriate suppliers and negotiate prices and other relevant parameters, to achieve the most cost-effective outcomeUtilising MRP/SAP to manage inventory levels of finished product, raw materials and packaging, consistent with guidelines and financial targetsCollaborating with the Central Sourcing department on market consultation or information about suppliers and estimated demands, as well as the introduction of new materials/suppliersEstablishing and maintaining a good relationship with suppliersWorking with all internal stakeholders to minimise slow-moving inventory and reduce the levels of redundant materialsControl relevant aspects of the introduction of new materials, working with the key stakeholdersRaising the necessary new item requests or change requests, and ensuring that the relevant information is present in MRPAnalysing and reporting on Backorders and Service Level every weekSkills and experience:Experience with using MRP, 2 Years plus is essential1 years experience in Purchase Order Management Strong verbal and written communication skillsSAP, particularly the purchase order experiencePrevious Manufacturing and Inventory Management Experience Please note: We do not contact or write to unsuccessful candidates.
