Job Description Marine Refit Project Manager at Berthon Boat Co Ltd, LymingtonWith an increased demand for our services, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our long-standing project office in Lymington, with a proven track record in a similar role.You will be managing production, refits, and in service support of boats 20 80 for Berthons wide range of commercial customers, including port authorities, MoD, Border Force, fisheries, sail training and survey organisations. This may include both sailing and motor boats.This is a full-time role at Berthons Lymington shipyard (not hybrid or WFH).Essential skills;Marine production and/or refit project management experienceProven track record of successfully managing multi-discipline teamsCoordinating project schedule and budget, and reporting to stakeholdersOrganised, level headed and have the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyProactive, while ready to be reactive in solving problems and changes in scopeExtensive knowledge of boats motor and/or sailFamiliar with components and materials used in the industry, and who supplies themExcellent verbal and written communicator, and experience dealing with clients of high value contracts.Ability to lead a team to deliver positive outcomesHigh levels of computer literacy including ERP.Good attention to detail and accuracy.Desirable skills/qualifications;An engineering or practical background, for example a time served Boatbuilding, Marine Electrical or Marine Engineering apprenticeship, working on tools and then promoted to project management.A degree in a relevant course such as Yacht Design and Production, Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture would also be a strong foundation for this role.AutoCAD or equivalentSpecialist knowledge of composite construction, marine electrical or engineering installationsIn return Berthon offer;Competitive salary + annual notional dividend based on company profitability.33 days holiday (25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays).Flexible working.Collaborative & supportive working environment.Opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding diverse marine projects in the defence and commercial sectors.Berthon is a stable long-term employer with no debt and a strong balance sheet.
