Resident Engineer

Resident Engineer - Materials Handling Equipment Location: Lutterworth, Leicestershire Salary: 30,000 - 37,000 (40 Hours) or 36,000 - 42,500 (45 Hours) Hours: Monday to Friday (Days) I am currently partnering with a market leading materials handling business that are currently looking to recruit an experienced engineer to service and maintain Forklift Trucks and other MHE equipment across customer sites. As a Resident Engineer, you'll be based at a customer site carrying out diagnostics, repairs, and servicing of FLT and material handling equipment. Key Responsibilities of the Resident Engineer: Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs on a range of Material handling equipment Diagnose faults and identify cost-effective solutions Build strong working relationships with the onsite team and customer Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with health & safety standards Key Requirements of the Resident Engineer: Strong engineering background - ideally from forklifts, automotive/vehicles, plant, or similar Recognised engineering qualification - Ideally Level 3 (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) Previous experience in a similar engineering role (field or site-based) Excellent communication and fault-finding skills The Resident Engineer will Benefit from: Regular overtime available Company pension scheme Full training and induction Ongoing development and support Tools and uniform provided Ideal Backgrounds: Experience working on FLTs or MHE Automotive or vehicle mechanic experience Ex-Forces with mechanical expertise If you are interested in this role and feel that you have the right skills then please click apply at the bottom of this advert.
