Mobile Telematics Technician Luton Airport Location: Luton Airport (Airside) Job Type: Full-time Salary: 35000 Hours: 05:30-17:30 working 4 days on 4 days off rota Mobile Telematics /Telematics Engineer About the Role Were looking for a skilled Telematics Technician / Auto Electrician to join our engineering team based on-site at Luton Airport . Youll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting telematics and GPS tracking systems across a wide range of airport vehicles and ground support equipment (GSE). This is a hands-on and varied role where youll take ownership of installations, diagnose technical issues, and ensure all systems are operating reliably to support airside operations across the UK. Mobile Telematics /Telematics Engineer Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain vehicle telematics and GPS systems on airport and fleet equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical and telematics-related faults. Monitor system performance using telematics software. Carry out on-site inspections and maintenance at Luton Airport and other UK locations. Maintain clear and accurate installation and service records. Work in compliance with airport and company safety standards . Mobile Telematics /Telematics Engineer What Were Looking For Proven experience in electrical, electronic, or telematics installation . Strong understanding of automotive wiring, GPS, and CAN bus systems . Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently on-site. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and a proactive approach. Full UK driving licence (essential). Experience with GSE or heavy plant equipment is an advantage.
