Job Description The Benefits08:0020:00 shifts, 7 days per week (including weekends & bank holidays)Competitive rates / salarySupportive, multidisciplinary team environmentAutonomous clinical practice within a well-established MIUOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesThe CompanyA community-based Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) serving the Shropshire populationCommitted to safe, high-quality, and patient-centred urgent careWorks in partnership with local NHS services and integrated care systemsThe RoleAssess, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients with minor injuries and minor illnessesTake comprehensive histories and perform focused clinical examinationsFormulate differential diagnoses and management plansRequest and interpret diagnostics (X-ray, pathology, ECGs) within scope of practicePerform procedures including suturing, plastering, wound care, and foreign body removalProvide health promotion, self-care, and safety-netting adviceEscalate and refer patients to ED, GPs, or specialty services as requiredRecognise and respond to clinical deterioration and emergenciesMaintain accurate, compliant clinical documentationWork collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamThe PersonNMC or HCPC registered healthcare professionalRecognised ENP or ECP qualificationStrong background in MIU, ED, urgent care, or emergency settingsConfident in managing minor injuries and minor illnesses autonomouslyIRMER compliant for requesting/interpreting X-rays (where applicable)Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and decision-making skillsEvidence of ongoing CPD and professional developmentAbility to manage workload independently and within a teamJBRP1_UKTJ
