Job Description Job Title:Installation & Commissioning EngineerLocation:Leicester, LE19 (on-site at manufacturing facility + international travel)Salary:Up to 65,000 per annum + annual bonusHours:Full-time MondayThursday: 08:0016:30 Friday: 08:0013:30Travel:International travel required 1012 times per year, ranging from short European trips to longer overseas assignments (up to 45 weeks maximum)Bolt Technical are working with a highly specialised machine manufacturer operating at the forefront of energy, advanced technology, and industrial engineering.Their bespoke machinery supports globally significant projects in areas such as renewable energy, fusion technology, medical imaging, and advanced research environments. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join a small, expert engineering team.This role offers a rare opportunity to work on custom-built, technically complex machinery with real-world impact on future energy and infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & CommissioningCarry out in-house pre-commissioning in line with customer contract requirementsInstall and commission specialist machinery at customer sites worldwideEnsure equipment performs to specification and contractual standardsPrepare technical documentation including inspection records, test plans, test reports, site reports, and manualsConduct customer demonstrations and acceptance testingTrain customer personnel on machine operation and applicationsInstall, update, and support control softwareUndertake industrial electrical wiringLiaise with customers and respond effectively to technical requestsEngineering & Production SupportWork across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systemsSupport dismantling of finished machines prior to shipmentLearn and implement applications across all machine types and material variantsCollaborate closely with internal departments to ensure machines meet specificationInput into production planning and schedules to support on-time deliveryPlan and coordinate international travel arrangementsWhat Theyre Looking ForProven experience in on-site machine installation and commissioningStrong background in industrial or special-purpose machineryGood understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering systemsExperience with control software installation or updatesQuality-focused mindset with strong attention to detailConfident working directly with customers in an international environmentComfortable with global travel and extended overseas assignmentsAble to work independently while contributing to a small specialist teamDesirableExperience with complex, custom-built machineryExposure to energy, advanced manufacturing, or research-driven industriesService or field engineering backgroundWhats On OfferSalary up to 65,000Annual bonus equivalent to one months salary (paid December)25 days holiday + statutoryPension contribution (Employer 3%, Employee 5%)Long-term role within a stable, growing engineering businessOpportunity to work on globally significant, future-facing technologyBy applying to this job advertisement, you confirm you have read and understood our Data Privacy Statement and give Bolt Technical authorisation to hold your provided data.Thank you for your interest in this vacancy, which is being advertised by Bolt Technical, who are acting as an employment agency/business.
