Location: Long Eaton, NottinghamHours: 39 hours per week -Days or 2 Rotating shifts - early and latePay: £20.63 per hour, plus £1.49 shift pay if applicableThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in precision engineering, problem-solving, and maintaining high manufacturing standards.Inside Our Tool Room Our in-house tool room is equipped with an impressive range of machinery – HURCO 5-Axis CNC Miller, lathes, pillar drills, and surface grinders – we can manufacture complex parts and maintain critical press tooling without relying on external suppliers.The role You’ll be responsible for the manufacture, maintenance, and repair of tooling, jigs, fixtures, and special-purpose equipment that support our production operationKey Responsibilities:Manufacture and modify tooling, jigs, fixtures, and special-purpose machineryAccurately interpret engineering drawings and determine the most efficient manufacturing route for tooling and modifications.Operate a full range of Toolroom machinery (milling, turning, grinding, CNC etc)Assemble and disassemble press tools, check tolerances and ensure functional performanceIdentify tooling faults raised by production teams or inspection reports and implement effective corrective solutionsPerform, or be willing to train in, hard tool steel welding as part of the repair processIdentify opportunities to enhance productivity and efficiency within the Toolroom.What We’re Looking For:Time-served apprentice/skilled in Tool making or MachiningPrecision engineering and toolroom operationsExperience with press tooling, fault diagnosis and tool repair would be an advantageAbility to read technical drawingsCNC experienceTIG welding experience desirable or willing to learnWhat We Offer:25 days holiday, plus bank holidaysCompany performance bonusPension Plan, Life Assurance, Company Sick PayCompany discountsWhy join AGA Rangemaster?
