MPA are currently recruiting Permanent Residential Workers with complex needs for our client Apex Housing, in the Derry/ Londonderry Area. (13.47 per hour)This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent Residential Worker contract with a market leading healthcare provider in a supportive, patient centred care environmentJob Duties:To effectively manage the varying needs within 4 different cottagesTo provide care that is resident focused whilst ensuring that residents dignity and privacy are maintained at all times.To respect and promote the rights and entitlements of people with learning difficulties and complex needs and be responsive to individual needs of the service usersConduct Heath and Safety Audits as requiredTo be able to effectively manage a large frequency of incidents involving adults who display complex needsTo ensure appropriate documentation is established and maintained in respect of new residents and continuous evaluation of residents support plansComply to all health and safety policies including accident/incident reporting and reporting all additional concernsTo ensure all services are delivered in accordance with recognised standards including RQIA and Apex policies and proceduresTo promote the self-esteem, happiness and emotional health of service usersTo accompany service users on social and recreational outings and other appointments, as required.Carry our house visits with manager as requiredAttend fundraising committee meetingsEstablish and maintain good working relationships with the multidisciplinary team, residents, visitors, colleagues, relatives, other departments and all levels of managementAs a shift leader you will have direct responsibility for analysing staffing levels, coordinating workloads and delegating as appropriateManaging the staff within the scheme and liaising with the manager to identify and establish work targets and development objectivesEssential CriteriaQCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalentA minimum of 1 years experience in a support working role with learning difficulties AND Challenging behaviour in a community/residential settingMust be currently registered with NISCC OR if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months.Have previous administration experiencesORA minimum of 2 years experience in a support role working with adults with learning difficulties AND challenging behaviour in a community/residential settingHave previous administration experienceMust be currently registered with NISCC OR if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months.ANDThe above experience must include supervisory responsibilityAbove experience must demonstrate the use of IT and the provision of admin support to include regulatory, scheme and resident reportsFurther Information:Employee benefits: Starting at 4 weeks annual leave and 12 statutory days pro rata (increases with length of service) Company pension scheme contributions Employer 6%, Employee 4% Company maternity/paternity pay Company sick pay Continuous training and development Free onsite parkingEmployee health and wellbeing: Apex promotes wellbeing for employees, consisting of a number of health and wellbeing initiatives Access to Inspire Workplaces Employee Assistance Programme and online Support Hub
