In house Counsel - Professional Indemnity Location: LondonI am working with a forward-thinking international law firm that is seeking to recruit a Professional Indemnity Solicitor to join its well-established Risk and Compliance team in London. This is a permanent opportunity, ideal for a qualified solicitor with strong experience within claims and professional negligence who is looking for an exciting new challenge.The role reports into the Head of Professional Liability, who oversees the Firm’s claims, complaints, and insurance coverage across both professional indemnity and non-PI risks.Key Responsibilities:Support the Head of Professional Liability in managing and reporting legal claimsInvestigate and draft responses to client complaintsHandle straightforward claims directly; assist with instructing external counsel on more complex mattersMonitor complaint logs and manage related deadlinesLiaise with the Legal Ombudsman as requiredAssist with insurance notifications and renewal processesProvide assistance on contentious matters involving the Firm, including supplier disputesRequirements:Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE in civil or commercial litigationExperience in professional negligence, particularly claims against solicitors, is highly desirableStrong written and investigative skills, with the ability to manage sensitive issues discreetly and effectivelyAvailable to start at short noticeThis is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and high-performing in-house legal team at a leading international firm.To learn more or apply, please get in touch for full details.
